Qian Wu, also known as Hetty, completed her Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) in Worcester, Massachusetts. MCPHS is a private university focused on medical and health-related science programs and located in the Longwood Medical and Academic Area of Boston. Hetty practiced acupuncture and herbs as a student intern for 1.5 years at the University clinic where she would treat and diagnose patients based on intake, as well as pulse and tongue examination. Along with practicing other ancient Chinese treatments such as Moxibustion, Cupping, and Gua Sha. Besides traditional acupuncture skills, Hetty also uses some other styles like Dr. Tan, Master Tung's style of acupuncture, etc.
Hetty has a good passion for Oriental Medicine, her father is an acupuncturist as well, which gave her a good chance to see how good Oriental Medicine can help people. Hetty is doing a doctorate degree in Oriental Medicine study at Five Branches University. She took a series of training sessions about treating infertility in 2022 and 2023 and is applying it in practice. Before joining the Holistic Acupuncture Clinic, she had been practicing in Omaha, NE for about 2 years.
Hetty worked in the HR area for years before becoming an acupuncturist, she was responsible for training and assessment centers in companies like Volkswagen, Ernst & Young, etc., She lived in Germany for 2 years and worked as a Chinese teacher for a year over there.
Easily seen, are the similarities between Hetty's past work experiences and the process of treating new patients with acupuncture and herbs. The process of identifying the underlying issues - then developing a strategy and implementing a holistic process to help heal the patient naturally is what the Holistic Acupuncture Clinic is all about.
