Master of Science in Acupuncture
Bachelor of Science in Medicinal Botanicals
On my journey through the healthcare landscape, Chinese medicine has played an immense role in my life since childhood. Each summer, my sister and I would spend time in the garden near the reading room, where my interest was sparked by my mother's passion for botany. As I delved deeper into this realm, I discovered that my mother's approach to nourishing us was rooted in the theories of traditional Chinese medicine. While my fascination with botany remained constant, I found that herbal medicine and acupuncture, both integral elements of traditional Chinese medicine, brought a more hands-on aspect.
Previously, I pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Medicinal Botanicals in Taiwan, and a master’s degree in Oriental Medicine at Texas Health and Science University. Additionally, I am nationally board-certified as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine by the esteemed National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
With the decision made, I began my career as an acupuncturist in Texas. Exposed to a wide spectrum in both big cities and small towns within the industry, I decided to complement it with clinical research for potential enhancements in both clinical care and my career. I used to love witnessing clients undergo a transformation into a completely different person by the end of their sessions. Despite individuals experiencing holistic changes at varied timeframes, I am confident in sharing and encouraging clients to stick around during the therapy, as they will eventually notice an obvious difference.
